Each superhero has a different set of powers. For Clint Barton and Kate Bishop, their main power is their archery skill. Other than that, they're also capable fighters, and excel in martial arts. However, even the best fighting skills aren't always enough when it comes to the toughest foes.

That's when special arrows come in handy. Hawkeye has a lot of trick arrows at his disposal, both in the original comics and in the MCU. He used them for fighting in the movies, and once again in the new Disney Plus series. Especially in the third episode of Hawkeye, Clint and Kate get to use a lot of trick arrows with varying degrees of usefulness. Here's a ranking of those arrows.

8 USB Arrow

The USB arrow does have its uses, especially during espionage missions. Hawkeye can use it to extract information from computers much faster than if he did it manually. However, it's the least useful arrow in the third episode.

Kate uses the USB arrow to cover Clint and intimidate their enemies. She then shoots it at one of the Tracksuit Draculas, but the arrow doesn't even scratch him; in fact, it doesn't do anything. In other circumstances, it could have been useful, but in this case, it's an absolute failure.

7 Play-Doh Arrow

Despite the somewhat silly name that Kate thinks of in the blink of an eye, this arrow is quite useful. Kate shoots it at the windshield of their enemies while they're pursuing them.

The arrow covers the windshield with a purple goo, which makes it impossible for their enemies to see what's going on ahead of them. That gives Kate and Clint some much-needed time to get away. However, it doesn't last forever, and their enemies are eventually on their tail again.

6 Acid Arrow

Just like multiple trick arrows Hawkeye has, the acid arrow can also be used in more than one way. For example, it could eat through a locked door and help Clint and Kate escape whatever place they're captured in.

However, it has a fairly straightforward use in the show: Kate uses the acid arrow to drop the stoplights. As a result, they can drive faster, without the risk of getting stopped at red. But what this trick arrow does simply isn't as impressive as the work of other trick arrows used in the third episode.

5 The Octopus Arrow

This trick arrow's use might seem somewhat confusing at first, until it does its trick. Then it turns out useful considering the circumstances they're in.

While driving through the open space Christmas tree store, the arrow attaches to the villains' car. It grabs the Christmas trees and pulls them right to the car, disorienting the drivers and making them lose their direction. This allows Kate and Clint to put a bigger distance between them.

4 Smoke Arrow

Using a smoke arrow is an old tried-and-true trick that nevertheless, still works. When Hawkeye shoots it into the car of their enemies, it fills it with purple smoke (which is a nice nod to Hawkeye's costume color scheme), and the driver can't see where they're going.

This makes them even more disoriented than the octopus arrow, because that one at least allowed a line of sight to a certain degree. The smoke arrow, on the other hand, effectively blinds the target. This could be used not just during a car chase, but also a hand to hand combat as long as the hero maintains a healthy distance from the villain.

3 Explosive Arrow

The explosion arrow's effect speaks for itself. In this episode, Kate uses it to blow up the car belonging to their enemies. Its potential use is even higher, since it could technically be used to get into locked buildings or even escape them.

The only danger is that Kate, or any other hero who isn't fast enough, could get caught in the explosion. Luckily, this hasn't happened on the show — at least, not yet.

2 Pym Arrow

The Pym arrow is by far the most awe-inspiring arrow in the third episode. While their enemies pursue them on a bridge, Clint instructs Kate to shoot an arrow. He then hits her arrow with the Pym arrow in mid-air. The result is immediate and highly effective.

Kate's arrow enlarges and it drives right through the car of their enemies. That's enough to stop them and give Clint and Kate the time they need to escape. It's also a nice Easter egg aimed toward Hank Pym, ideal for all MCU fans who enjoyed the Ant-Man movies with Michael Douglas.

1 The Suction Cup Arrow

Hawkeye the suction cup arrow

The suction cup arrow is one of the few arrows that Clint and Kate get to use more than once during the car chase. Initially, it seems useless. Kate shoots it at their enemies who pursue them in a car. The arrow hits the windshield and sticks to it but nothing else happens.

However, later on, the suction cup arrow potentially saves Clint and Kate from dying. By using it, they manage to avoid falling into a river and risking drowning. This makes it one of the most useful arrows Hawkeye owns, and even Kate herself acknowledges she's been wrong about the arrow's lack of purpose.
