The MCU wouldn't be what it is today without the incredibly talented group of actors who breathe new life into beloved comic book characters on screen. Given the success of the franchise, it's no surprise that many Marvel actors have gone on to achieve great things through their other work.

Plenty of Marvel fan favorites like Florence Pugh and Robert Downey Jr. have earned nominations in the past, and will surely secure their well-deserved win sometime in the future. For now, here's every MCU star that's won an Oscar thus far.

Anthony Hopkins

Anthony Hopkins is one of the few MCU actors to have earned multiple Oscars, both of which were for best actor. Marvel fans know him as Odin, but Hopkins was given his Academy Awards for his performance in Silence of the Lambs and for his role in The Father.

Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie finally joined the Marvel universe as Thena when Eternals was released in 2021. Jolie won her Oscar for best supporting actress for her work in Girl, Interrupted.

Ben Kingsley

The return of Ben Kingsley as Trevor Slattery in Shang-Chi was something Marvel fans weren’t expecting after Iron Man 3. Kingsley won an Oscar for best actor after his first-ever leading role in Gandhi.

Benicio Del Toro

Benicio del Toro plays Taneleer Tivan in the MCU, but the character is better known as The Collector. Del Toro won an Academy Award for best supporting actor in the 2001 movie Traffic.

Brie Larson

Cate Blanchett

Daniel Kaluuya

F. Murray Abraham

Russell Crowe recently played Zeus in Thor: Love and Thunder and will likely be returning sometime in the future. Crowe won an Oscar for best actor in Gladiator.

Rachel Weisz
