The Marquis de Gramont punishes Winston by destroying the New York Continental and shooting Charon, his concierge, in the heart. Shimazu’s philosophy on friendship runs deep, and he would do anything for John Wick, even if that means the cost of his hotel and his life.Despite defeating many of the loyal men of the High Table, Shimazu was injured during his battles, and only when he faced Caine with a clash of blades, was he killed. Shimazu sacrificed himself in a fight with Caine so that his daughter Akira and John Wick could escape to safety.

Marquis de Gramont was a crime boss, a strong authoritative figure who put his ego above everything, even before the High Table. This character shows his power through wealth and the firepower of other men.Yet, it was Marquis de Gramont’s arrogance that got him killed. After believing John Wick had lost his duel against Caine, Gramont stepped in to deliver the kill shot. However, Gramont was too arrogant to realize John Wick had not fired his shot, thus he was killed, making both John and Winston free men.

3 Killa Harkan

Killa was the head of the German branch of the High Table and was tasked with killing John Wick’s uncle, Pyotr, who was the head of the Ruska Roma. Chidi brings the Marquis’ men on many sieges, whether that’s at the Continental Hotel in Osaka, or the streets of Paris. His mission is simple: kill John Wick, a mission that he fails to accomplish, despite many near-successful attempts.Chidi would have achieved his mission if it were not for The Tracker, a character with no name, but a talent for rifles and a love for his dog. Chidi had his crotch bitten by the dog and was then shot in the head by the Tracker in revenge for attempting to kill his dog, the same dog that urinated on Chidi’s dead body.

The titular character is fatally wounded in his duel with Caine, yet he still gets the last laugh, as he kills Marquis Vincent de Gramont before peacefully succumbing to his injuries, his last thoughts being of his late wife Helen.Although audiences don’t know for sure if John Wick is dead, the underworld and the High Table believe it is so.
