Angus Cloud went from relative obscurity to A-list celebrity overnight after being picked off the streets to play Fezco, the fan-favorite drug dealer in HBO's hit series Euphoria. Recently, Cloud addressed his newfound fame as well as the misconceptions that some people have about his past after a video of him working at a restaurant went viral on TikTok.

A user with the handle @Just.Darleem posted the short clip on her account, mentioning in her caption that Cloud was her server four years ago at a chicken-and-waffles restaurant in Brooklyn, New York. The video has received 5.1 million likes since it went live and many viewers had nothing but nice things to say about the Euphoria actor in the comments section. Yet, Cloud admitted that he's still uncomfortable with the attention he's been receiving since being thrust into the spotlight, and he's particularly bothered by people who are trying to do "detective work" into his past, even though he stresses that he doesn't have anything to hide.

In an interview with The Face, Cloud recalled a time when fans found his old Facebook profile and criticized him for a random comment he made years ago. In one of his posts, he apparently wrote that he hated Mexican food, but he explained that he was only a kid when he posted that, and he probably just had bad Taco Bell at the time. Cloud admits that the constant nitpicking and digging for dirt on his past is what really gets on his nerves, so it makes sense that he would be cautious about the viral TikTok video despite all the positive comments.

In terms of Euphoria, Cloud's character Fezco becomes more involved in the record-breaking Euphoria 2 as he gets pulled into the ongoing drama with the other members of the cast. This is a stark difference from what showrunner Sam Levinson initially had in mind for Fezco — apparently, he had planned to kill him early on in the opening season, but he had a change of heart at the last minute.

This isn't the only time Cloud narrowly avoided being written off the show. According to Javon Walton, who plays Ashtray, Levinson initially intended for Fezco to be shot in the season 2 finale, not Ashtray. Surely, many fans are grateful that Levinson did not go through with his initial plans. They will just have to wait for season 3 to see if Cloud's Fezco will make it out alive for a third time.

Euphoria is now streaming its first and second seasons on HBO Max.
