Marvel Studios' Eternals got a television spot that features the Marvel Cinematic Universe's newest guardians of Earth. Eternals will debut this fall while also showing a new slate of heroes that look to fill the gap left open by Earth's mightiest heroes.

Eternals will be the follow-up to Avengers: Endgame, which saw the culmination of a decade worth of MCU films and ended in a big climax that looks to have ripple effects for many years to come. During the pandemic, Marvel Studios has released Phase 4 projects in theaters and on Disney Plus. The studio is currently dominating the box office with hits like Black Widow and Shang-Chi, and the company's Disney Plus originals are doing great numbers.

The Eternals spot features brutal fight scenes, big spectacle superpowers, and large landscapes. The film is new territory to many, and the tv spot has the quote, "Eternals Assemble," which pays homage to the iconic line said by Captain America, "Avengers Assemble." Having a new superhero team assemble together is something that fans have been waiting for since the departure of the original Avengers roster.

This latest Eternals TV spot shows the new superhero team getting ready to battle and defend the Earth against the incoming Deviants, who are an alien race created by the celestials (the same ones responsible for creating Thanos). Fans are hoping Eternals will dive deeper into Thanos' backstory, while others are expecting this film to open up more of the MCU's cosmic lore, which may plant the seeds for Galactus to make an appearance.

Eternals has the benefit of having multiple heroes with different abilities, personalities, and quirks, like Kumail Nanjiani's Kingo. The film is looking to have many unique heroes brought to the forefront of the MCU, which will hopefully change the way fans look at Marvel. The MCU is now bringing in many characters who aren't well known to casual fans, which is what many fans and newcomers have been enjoying.

The film's only uphill battle is having very new and unused characters. Marvel Studios typically does well at introducing characters with relatively low popularity (Shang-Chi, Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Ant-Man), but the Eternals are by far is one of the lesser-known groups. This is why the movie has a star-studded cast and is being used as a jump-off for future MCU films.

Eternals will be in theaters on November 5th, 2021.
