With the release of The Elder Scrolls Online's most recent DLC Deadlands comes six new unique armor sets, three of which are craftable, and three of which can be found in the overworld of the eponymous Deadlands. The Wretched Vitality armor set is one of the former, and its set effects can be imbued onto any piece of crafted armor.

It's a set that is almost completely oriented around resource regeneration, both Stamina and Magicka, and of the three craftable sets in the Deadlands DLC it has the fewest pre-requisites. Whether it's a game-breaking set for The Elder Scrolls Online or a forgettable one is yet to be seen.

The Wretched Vitality Set Bonuses

  • Type: Any (Crafted)
  • Two Items Equipped: Adds 129 Magicka Recovery
  • Three Items Equipped: Adds 129 Stamina Recovery
  • Four Items Equipped: Adds 129 Weapon AND Spell Damage
  • Five Items Equipped: Applying a Minor Buff or Debuff grants the caster 130 Magicka and Stamina Recovery for 15 seconds, doubled for Major Buffs or Debuffs.

The Wretched Vitality armor set has three distinct bonuses: Magicka Recovery, Stamina Recovery, and Weapon/Spell Damage. The full set bonus is based around Buffs and Debuffs, something just about every class has access to, but only few builds can take advantage of.

The 130 Magicka and Stamina Recovery gained from casting a Minor Debuff or Buff is, to say the least, pretty minute. Even when doubled when using Major Debuffs and Buffs, its still only 260 extra resource recovery per second. The fact that it lasts for 15 seconds is nice, though, and it can proc constantly giving the caster a little boost to recovery at all times.

Crafting The Wretched Vitality Set

  • Location: Eastern Deadlands Overworld (Stormwright's Cleft)
  • Requirements: Three traits researched on the piece being crafted

The Wretched Vitality armor set can be crafted at the Stormwright's Cleft in the far East of the Deadlands. Just like with all unique set crafting locations in The Elder Scrolls Online, the Stormwright's Cleft is home to armor, weapon, and jewelry crafting stations that can be used to imbue items with the Wretched Vitality set bonus.

To craft the Wretched Vitality set players must have researched at least three traits on the piece of gear they want to create. It's important to remember that these traits do not carry over between crafting tables, equipment types, or crafting tabs, so having three traits researched on a Robe doesn't matter if you want to create a Bow, for example.
