Three new crafted armor sets and three new overworld armor sets are introduced with the Deadlands DLC for The Elder Scrolls Online. The Iron Flask set is one that focuses almost exclusively on Health and defenses, making it possibly a viable new set for Tanks and soloing players, and its bonuses can be imbued onto almost any type of craftable gear.

The Iron Flask set has a very basic full set bonus. Being straightforward isn't necessarily a bad thing, though, especially in a game like The Elder Scrolls Online when so many item sets are described with multiple paragraphs or convoluted language. In fact, it's a full set bonus that perhaps could be more powerful than first meets the eye.

The Iron Flask Set Bonuses

ESO Iron Flask Armor Set Guide
  • Type: Any (Crafted)
  • Two Items Equipped: Adds 1206 Max. Health
  • Three Items Equipped: Adds 1206 Max. Health
  • Four Items Equipped: Adds 1487 Armor
  • Five Items Equipped: Drinking a potion in combat reduces all damage taken by 12% for 20 seconds.

The Iron Flask set is oriented around Health, Armor, and Defense, with boosts to Max. Health at two and three pieces equipped and Armor being added with four pieces equipped. The full set bonus is easy to understand – whenever the player drinks a potion of any kind while in combat, they receive 12% less damage for 20 seconds from all sources.

The Iron Flask set is one that seems perfect for Tanks, especially beginner Tanks who might not want to put effort into understanding some of The Elder Scrolls Online's nitty-gritty combat mechanics to maximise their defense. It gives a very respectable bonus to defenses through Health and Armor alongside this, making it a possible new favorite for the self-sustain Solo player, too.

Crafting The Iron Flask Set

ESO Deadlands Armor Set Guide Crafting Map Iron Flask
  • Location: Inside Fargrave, within the hostile zone The Shambles (Forgotten Feretory)
  • Requirements: Five traits researched on the piece being crafted

The Iron Flask armor set can be crafted at the Forgotten Feretory in the Northern area of Fargrave called The Shambles, a hostile zone for players. Just like with all unique set crafting locations in The Elder Scrolls Online, the Forgotten Feretory is home to armor, weapon, and jewelry crafting stations that can be used to imbue items with the Iron Flask set bonus.

To craft pieces of the Iron Flask set players must have researched at least five traits on the piece of gear they want to create, which can take some time to do if starting from scratch. It's important to remember that these traits do not carry over between crafting types, so having five traits researched on a medium Jack means, well, jack when it comes to crafting heavy Greaves.
