Escape from Tarkov has just recieved a brand new patch, and not only did it naturally contain a number of bug fixes, but it also added new quests for players to explore. The patch was released earlier today, June 29, at 11 am EST.

Escape from Tarkov has had an interesting journey over the past couple of years; despite releasing in beta about 4 years ago, it has surged in popularity only recently due to streaming platforms.  The tactical FPS has been well-supported by its devs over the years, with regular updates keeping the game fun and exciting for repeat players.

Battlestate confirmed over Twitter that the game's 0.12.6.2 patch adds two new quests for Prapor, which become available after reaching level 10. It also tweeted that the update would contain bug fixes, including a fix for the bug that stopped Killa from shooting back in certain scenarios, and the bug where players were given double damage when hitting enemies in the thorax. The outdoor sounds will no longer play indoors after a reconnect, and the weapon icon won't get blocked by the "add offer" window while adding weapon mods without the FiR status.

Furthermore, Battlestate added that the patch will include various improvements, optimizations, freeze fixes, and technical fixes. Ideally, the patch should minimize the amount of freezing that players encounter while playing the game and improve their overall experience. As of earlier today, Battlestate confirmed that the patch had been implemented and all servers were live for players to once again access.

Over the past month, Escape From Tarkov has gotten a couple of other changes, which include the adding of the Streets of Tarkov map and a large ban on over 3,000 cheaters.

Overall, there are a ton of facts about Escape from Tarkov that many players (or prospective players) may not know, and lots to discover. With no end to the updates for Escape from Tarkov in sight, it looks like the game's replay value will only keep getting better, though time will tell what Battlestate has planned for its FPS.
