One of the first main tasks given to Escape From Tarkov players from Prapor is the "Checking" quest.  In this quest, Escape From Tarkov players must track down the location of a lost bronze pocket watch for one of Prapor's friends who escaped the Customs region before the conflict broke out.

It is important to note that before being able to accept the quest, players must complete the "Debut" quest from Prapor, and have reached Level 2. Additionally, players should have a suitable build for this mission, as several of the locations that players will be required to travel to are frequented by PMC's and are well-known Scav spawns.

After loading into the level, the player's first objective will be to travel to the Dormitories. From the dirt road leading into Dormitories, players will want to enter the second floor of the building on the left via the fire escape.  Players should be aware that there is a good chance that they will run into Scavs when inside the building, so be prepared.

Once inside the building, head down the hallway and jump over a small barrier in order to proceed. After jumping over the barrier, immediately enter the first door on the righthand side.

Players will find two coats hanging on wall hooks in the room. Inside the brown coat on the left, players will find the "Machinery key" which is required to obtain the pocket watch. After obtaining the Machinery key, players should immediately put the key in their Escape from Tarkov secure container so they do not have to make any additional trips to the Dormitories.

From the Dormitories, players must now head back to the main road and cross to the other side into the construction site area. In this area, players must find the large fuel tanker truck that belonged to Prapor's friend.  While this area may not be frequented by PMCs, players should be aware that Scavs have a tendency to spawn around the Fuel Tanker truck.

Once at the truck, players must interact with the driver-side door to gain access to the inside of the truck. After using the Machinery Key, the truck will be open, and players will find the bronze pocket watch on the floor underneath the steering wheel.

After obtaining the pocket watch players must immediately extract from customs in order to complete the quest. If players happen to be killed at any point after obtaining the pocket watch, they will have to obtain the bronze pocket watch again.
