Epic Games is making its new partnership with Rocket League even sweeter for players using the game launcher. Right now, players have until October 23 to claim a free copy of Rocket League on the Epic Game Store, which will net them a $10 coupon.

Rocket League just went free-to-play on several platforms earlier this week, and to celebrate the exciting news, Epic Games is rewarding anyone who claims a copy of the game with a coupon. The Epic Coupon given to players can be used on games and add-ons in the Epic Games Store that are priced $14.99 and up. The coupon is valid until November 1 at 3 PM EST, which allows players to wait for a sale or a particular video game release.

Epic Games has been known to offer up a $10 coupon to help promote some kind of event or special occasion within the Epic Games Store. This past Summer Epic Games offered a $10 coupon during its huge Summer Sale that saw over 180 titles go on sale. The previous coupon had the same parameters, meaning it had to be used on games priced at $14.99 or higher, although this coupon was valid for much longer, as it does not expire until October 31. It's likely some players still have this coupon sitting in their account.

Last year, Epic Games purchased Psyonix and its demolition derby soccer game, and the news of the acquisition did not go over well on Steam. Later, Psyonix announced Rocket Leauge was going to a free-to-play model and confirmed the inevitable; the game would be leaving Steam. Fortunately, anyone who had already purchased the game on Steam could still play the game and the Steam version of Rocket League would still receive content updates.

To further celebrate Rocket League's move to the free-to-play model and becoming exclusive to the Epic Games Store on PC, Epic announced a crossover event between Rocket League and Fortnite dubbed the Llama-Rama. Players will be able to complete challenges to earn in-game rewards throughout both games such as earning the Battle Bus to use in Rocket League and Backblings in Fornite. The Llama-Rama will kick off on September 26 and run until October 12 and will be live on all platforms where Rocket League is available, which will likely leave out Steam.

There's usually some kind of consumer-friendly offering found within the Epic Games Store, aside from the coupons Epic Games has been rotating out free games weekly. Currently, players can claim a free copy of Roller Coaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition until October 1 and after that player can claim Pikuniku through October 8. Earlier this year, the Epic Games Store famously crashed as an overwhelming amount of people attempted to claim a free copy of Grand Theft Auto 5, which was also offered for free.

Rocket League is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
