Epic Mickey lead designer Warren Spector unveiled screenshots for the upcoming Wii Game (have they finally settled that? Rumors were flying for ages as to which consoles it may or may not be released on. And by ages, I mean an eternity).

The screenshots show off the creative, creepy-but-cartoony dungeon areas where main Disney character Mickey winds up after falling asleep, and being dragged there Freddy Kreuger style.

Check out the screen shots for this very interesting game after the jump.

As you can see, that's a paintbrush in Mickey's hands. The game is primarily a platformer, but contains RPG elements in it as well that involve painting the world as Mickey fights back against lesser-known, less popular Disney characters who are attempting to dethrone the Disney King.

Actions you take in the game (you more or less get the option to be "Hero Mickey" or "Scrapper Mickey") change alliances, side-quests and power-ups for the player. The paintbrush can be used to paint in helpful objects to aid your quests, like a bridge to cross a gap - or use Paint Thinner to destroy anything he doesn't like on-screen.

What's going on here? I have no idea.

A proper video preview is expected of the game, and I for one am looking forward to seeing classic Disney baddies such as Phantom Blotch and the Splatters. If you liked the ol' stuff, then you'll like how in-between levels you'll go through a unique 2D side-scrolling scenario based on classic Mickey shorts.

No better place to hide a secret machine than behind a HUGE stained glass window.

The screenshots are long overdue, with Spector having been raving about the game for some time now. What do you think of the game's first visual reveal?
