Ever since the Epic Games Store first arrived on the PC digital storefront scene back in 2018, it has been one of the most notable names for gamers on a budget, offering tons of free experiences with no subscription required. With huge games like Grand Theft Auto 5, Watch Dogs 2, Civilization 6, Just Cause 4, and The Arkham Trilogy all being listed with no price tag at some point, the company has grown a reputation for being generous with its weekly free games promotion.

With the company's offerings of Ghostbusters: The Video Game and Blair Witch ending soon, many were excited about the publisher's next free title: Wargame: Red Dragon. However, while the release was slated to be available on the Epic Games Store tomorrow, it has been delayed temporarily and will no longer be the week's free release.

Not to worry though, as Epic Games Store has offered a replacement. Starting tomorrow, November 5, players can access Dungeons 3. Originally releasing back in 2017, Dungeons 3 combines RTS gameplay with dungeon building mechanics, as players house and care for a number of evil minions while defending against heroes entering their evil base from the world above. The player can also send their minions out of their dungeon, unleashing them upon the human world. It's a novel concept and one that was well-liked upon release, garnering a respectable 77 on Metacritic.

For those who weren't aware of Wargame: Red Dragon prior to the news, the real-time strategy game was originally released back in 2014. Players assume the role of a military commander in charge of several armies, allowing them to utilize tanks, planes, warships, helicopters, and more in their pursuit of dominance. Not only does the game feature a "dynamic" single-player campaign, but it also allows commanders to do battle against each other, with up to 20 players able to play online simultaneously. It's a shame the title won't be available tomorrow, but Epic Games is sure to have it up and ready in the very near future.

This year alone has been filled with huge free games from the Epic Games Store, the most surprising of which being the company's decision to offer A Total War Saga: Troy completely free on the title's launch day. Meanwhile, PlayStation and Xbox have also been offering some huge free games, with Sony giving away Bugsnax to PSN subscribers on the PlayStation 5 this month and Xbox offering the recent horror games Maid of Sker during October. It seems there has never been a better time to be a gamer on a budget.
