Epic Games Store users won't be able to claim a new free game as part of next week's offerings, but they will still be getting freebies of some description.
The Epic Games Store has released the latest free game, Aven Colony, which is available for users to claim for free from now until it's removed on November 11 at 10am CT. Aven Colony has been described as SimCity in space, and while it didn't earn widespread acclaim, it's still worth checking out for fans of the city management genre. After all, Epic Games Store free games can be claimed for free with zero purchase necessary, so there's no reason not to claim it.
Along with giving away Aven Colony for free, the Epic Games Store has confirmed what users can expect from next week. Instead of getting a new free game, Epic Games Store users will get the Rogue Company Season 4 Epic Pack. Rogue Company is a free-to-play third-person game with hero-shooter elements, for the uninitiated. It's a live service game that adds new content on a regular basis, and like other live service games, uses a seasonal model for its content.

This Rogue Company Season 4 Epic Pack includes the Switchblade and Scorch characters, along with the Inferno Imp outfit for Switchblade. Additionally, Rogue Company fans can also get 20K Battle Pass XP when they claim the Season 4 Epic Pack. So while it's not quite the same as getting a free game through the Epic Games Store, it will likely still be exciting for any Rogue Company fans that use the Epic Games Store.
This isn't the first time the Epic Games Store has given away content like this, though in the past it has typically come with a free game. In October, the Epic Games Store gave away the Epic Pack for Paladins, another free-to-play game, alongside Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse. So far, no other free game has been confirmed to be coming alongside the Rogue Company Season 4 Epic Pack, though that could change once next week rolls around.
Occasionally, the Epic Games Store gives away surprise games that it didn't announce in advance, and there's a chance that could happen with next week's offerings. However, fans shouldn't hold their breath. The only thing they can count on for sure is that the Rogue Company Season 4 Epic Pack will be free from November 11 to November 18 at 10am CT.
