The Epic Games Store is celebrating the Halloween season with a variety of deep discounts for popular horror games on PC. Alongside the new discounts in the Halloween sale, Epic Games Store is promoting Halloween-themed events for its online titles such as Fortnite and Rocket League.
Epic Games Store users may save up to 75% off on select Halloween Sale 2022 titles until November 1 at 11:00 a.m PT. Borderlands 3 and the original Fallout are among some of the games offering the full 75% discount. However, the sale's main focus is on horror and zombie games, such as Dying Light 2: Stay Human and World War Z: Aftermath. Since Dying Light 2 is one of the most recent titles discounted in the Halloween sale, it's likely going to be a popular purchase.
Dying Light 2 is available with a 45% discount, bringing the price down from $59.99 to $35.99 for a limited time. For those wanting to purchase the game and its DLC, Dying Light 2's Deluxe and Ultimate Editions also receive a Halloween discount. Dying Light 2 Deluxe Edition is available for a discounted price of $59.99 whereas Dying Light 2 Ultimate Edition is available for $79.99, which is 20% off the original price. New players will receive all previously released Dying Light 2 updates regardless of the edition purchased.
Evil Dead: The Game and World War Z: Aftermath receive 40% and 50% discounts respectively alongside Dying Light 2. Unlike Dying Light 2, standalone DLC for Evil Dead: The Game and World War Z: Aftermath are part of the Halloween sale. This means players may first purchase the discounted game and purchase the DLC afterward at a reduced price.
The Halloween sale is not the full extent of Epic Games Store's Halloween celebration, however. Epic Games promotes its Halloween events in Fortnite and Rocket League while reminding players of upcoming horror titles like Dead Island 2 and The Callisto Protocol. Fortnite players may participate in Fortnitemares, a limited-time event featuring Halloween quests and the Zero Build Horde Rush Mode. In Rocket League, players can earn decals and goal explosions based on iconic horror franchises such as Saw and Chucky in the Haunted Hallows event.
