The Epic Games Store gives users free content on a weekly basis, with some weeks more generous than others. For a long while, the Epic Games Store was only giving away one free game per week, but the past couple of weeks have been especially busy for the service, and it looks like that's not stopping in September 2022.

The Epic Games Store has announced the freebies for the week of September 1 to September 8, and they include two new games as well as content for a free-to-play game. From September 1 to September 8, Epic Games Store users can claim the Armazillo DLC Pack for Knockout City, which comes with a bunch of cosmetic options, Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, and Submerged: Hidden Depths.

As far as Epic Games Store free games go, Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is certainly one of the more high profile freebies that the service has seen this year. Typically, the Epic Games Store free games consist of smaller-scale games or indie titles, so it's always nice when a big budget, blockbuster release like Shadow of the Tomb Raider is added to the lineup. Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition comes with the base game and all the post-launch DLC, so it's an especially big deal to be getting completely free of charge.

The Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack for Destiny 2 gets players access to the Gjallarhorn rocket launcher and Grasp of Avarice dungeon. Ring of Pain, meanwhile, is a roguelike card game that earned mixed reviews at the time of its original release. Regardless, it's available to Epic Games Store users completely free of charge, so there's no harm in adding it to one's digital library while it's still up for grabs.
