Free video games are always great, especially ones that are good quality. Epic gives out plenty of free games on the Epic Games Store, but fans now have two more that they can look forward to picking up for the low price of free. If that's not enough, Epic is also giving away six free Batman games right now, and players can still grab them before these new games go live.

First up is Metro 2033 Redux, the remastered version of the hit post-apocalyptic survival game. The story follows a young man named Artyom as he slowly discovers the Russian Metro system in a world that has been decimated by nuclear war. It's the first entry in the Metro series and would be a good place to start for those that have wanted to give Metro: Exodus a shot but are unsure whether or not they'll like its gameplay and narrative. Game Rant's review of Metro: Exodus was fairly positive, and it's worth giving Metro 2033 Redux a try - especially for free.

Players will also be able to pick up Everything, which is described as a "reality simulation game" on its store page. In Everything, players can be anything they can see, "from animals to planets to galaxies and beyond."  It's a procedural, AI-driven experience, and seems to be a fairly interesting concept compared to many other games currently on the market. It may not be the biggest game that Epic has offered through its free game program, but it does seem like a fun game to lose some time in.

Epic Store users will be able to pick up Everything and Metro 2033 Redux on September 26th, at which point the Batman games will go back to their regular price. After that, Epic will likely announce the next games that will be free for users. There has still been some drama on surrounding the store, especially after an indie horror game developer turned down an exclusivity deal. Still, the free games are a great perk for those that use the service.

Of course, there's still a vocal minority against the platform, but many players are saying that despite all the controversy, the Epic Game Store will succeed. Hopefully, Epic is able to keep giving away quality games for free. In the meantime, at least players can fulfill their Batman fantasies before exploring a war-torn metro system.
