The Epic Games Store is one of the most reliable services around when it comes to free games, as its standard reveal and release cadence has been consistent for years at this point. Every Thursday, it releases a new slate of games while revealing the games coming on the following Thursday. This happens at 10 am CT on the dot, though there has been a time or two the store didn't update a game on time or surprised fans. This method works well for the Epic Games Store.
After all, fans already know they are getting Fort Triumph and RPG in a Box on the Epic Games Store today. The former is a strategy game similar to XCOM but with its own unique features, while RPG in a Box essentially lets fans make their own game. These two games are available until December 8, at which point they'll be replaced by the following: Saints Row 4 Re-Elected and Wildcat Gun Machine.
Both games will take over on December 8 and last until December 15. Saints Row 4 hardly needs any introduction, as one of the zaniest games in the franchise, and it may be a good pick-up for those disappointed by 2022's reboot of Saints Row. Meanwhile, Wildcat Gun Machine is a much smaller game, something many users may have never heard of. Wildcat Gun Machine is a bullet hell dungeon crawler complete with 40 guns, giant mech robots, cute kittens, combat puzzles, skill upgrades, and an interesting 2D art style. Especially because it's free, it's worth checking out for any bullet hell friends.

While this very much follows the typical Epic Games Store cadence, it should be noted that December 15 could be a shake-up. Reportedly, the Epic Games Store Mystery Game Promotion featuring a new game every single day is returning sometime between December 15 and January 10.
This makes December 15 and December 22 the most likely dates; if it does turn out to be a former, fans shouldn't be surprised to see a gift next week after Saints Row 4 and Wildcat Gun Machine appear on the service.
