It appears that the Epic Games Store exclusivity for Satisfactory is officially coming to an end surprisingly soon. Satisfactory developer Coffee Stain Studios announced in February that its game would be coming to Steam... eventually. Coffee Stain is now ready to share a release date. Satisfactory is launching on Steam June 8.

"I know it's been frustrating that we haven't been able to announce an official date until now (believe me, it's been frustrating for us as well)," says Coffee Stain's Snutt, explaining as much as they're able why it took so long to put out a release date. "We're here now and we're definitely releasing it Monday, June 8 and we're super stoked about that!" To celebrate the occasion, Coffee Stain will be selling Satisfactory at a 10% discount at launch.

Note that even though it has been over a year since Satisfactory launched on the Epic Games Store, it's still in Early Access. That will remain true through Satisfactory's launch on Steam, as well. Coffee Stain says that it will keep Satisfactory in Early Access "until we feel  it's finished." Given the length if its planned features list, that likely means Satisfactory will remain in Early Access for a very long time.

Of course, Early Access for Satisfactory doesn't really mean anything. Satisfactory is a massive, well-reviewed game as it is. Sales can be seen as purchasing Season Passes for bigger games. It just means Coffee Stain will continue adding major features that expand the game in fun and cool ways for the foreseeable future. Satisfactory might be coming to Steam a year after the Epic Games Store, but the fun is only just beginning.

Satisfactory is available now on PC.
