As fans are accustomed to with The Epic Games Store's weekly cycle, its previous offerings of Dandara and Metro Last Light have officially been removed from the storefront's free games' promotion. In their place is a new free game, as well as a tease for another pair of releases that players can get their hands on in a week's time.

In terms of what's available right now, players can head over to Epic to pick themselves up sci-fi RPG Halcyon 6: Lightspeed Edition, which was teased alongside the release of Danadara last week. The two new titles that will eventually come to the free promotion are Bethesda's Rage 2 and Absolute Drift: Zen Edition.

Halcyon 6 is an award-winning indie strategy RPG, with players taking control of a derelict space station that they must rebuild, fortify, and use to battle back an advanced race of alien beings looking to take over Earth. Alongside building, players have to explore, manage their crew, and secure alliances with alien species in an effort to succeed in their goal. The game uses emergent storytelling to craft a tale unique to the player, with multiple-choices that lead to a variety of outcomes. It's sure to offer a solid 15 - 20 hours of playtime for anyone looking to get stuck into its sci-fi world.

Rage 2 is another big get for Epic Games Store users, with Avalanche Studios and id Software's 2019 shooter offering a 10-hour thrill ride filled with crazy guns, high-octane driving sequences, and colossal enemies. The sequel sees players assume the role of Walker, who must venture out into the series' chaotic wasteland in an effort to take down the villainous General Cross. Along the way, players will stumble into countless side-activities, large-scale shootouts, and more, as they build their arsenal and fight new foes. It received middling reviews at release, with critics lumping praise on its combat but critiquing its story and structure.

Finally, Absolute Drift: Zen Edition is a top-down racing game with a unique focus on drifting around corners, seeing players compete in various races and events to prove their mastery. It includes a variety of cars, tracks, free-roaming areas where players can hone their skills, and a drum and bass soundtrack. All three titles are sure to appeal to a good number of Epic Games Store users, with the digital marketplace once again offering a handful of significant experiences free of charge. Players can grab Halcyon 6 until February 18, at which time Rage 2 and Absolute Drift will take its place.
