Behold, a terrible photoshop job! October is starting to look like a pretty big month for video game fans, not only are games like Medal of Honor, Fallout: New Vegas, and Fable 3 set to show up that month, but now you can add two more to the list of games: Enslaved: Odyssey to the West and Vanquish.

First we'll get into Enslaved. Enslaved's main protagonist goes by the name Monkey, but he has a partner, a girl named Trip, following him around. They must both work together to escape from the evil robots that are holding them captive, and return to Trip's village. The game's story is actually based off of an ancient Chinese novel called "Journey to the West", which is the same novel that inspired Dragon Ball Z, but while Monkey likely won't be shooting off any kamehameha we should still be in for a fun time when the game finally hits store shelves this October 5th.

Now it's time for some Vanquish love. Vanquish not only scored an October 19th North American release date (which gives us a three day lead over Japan's October 21st release date), but there will also be some exclusive pre-order goodies for anyone who reserves the game at Game Stop.

The exclusive pre-order is called the "Tri-Weapon DLC pack" and will feature three exclusive weapons that you can't get anywhere else. The first gun is called the 'Boost Machine Gun' which will allow you to rapidly drop enemies, just like flies. The second weapon included in the pack is called the 'Anti-Armor Pistol', which will likely be really effective against enemies with armor. The third and final weapon is a 'Laser Cannon', which will likely cause massive amounts of damage and become a favorite to anyone who likes causing massive amounts of destruction.

There's no word on whether the "exclusive DLC" will eventually make its way on to the Xbox Live Marketplace or PSN at a later date or if they really will be reserved solely for those who pre-ordered the game. Game Rant's speculation is that we will see it reappear on the consoles as DLC that can be be downloaded for a small fee, just like most of the other "exclusive DLC" items do.

These games are going to have some fierce competition when they release this October, so Game Rant hopes they find the commercial success that they both so rightfully deserve. Remember folks, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West is breaking free on October 5th and Vanquish will be soaring onto store shelves on October 19th.

Which game would you rather pick up, Vanquish or Enslaved: Odyssey to the West? Are Vanquish's pre-order incentives enough to make you drive to GameStop and reserve a copy?
