When playing an online game with other players worldwide, people need to keep their personal data secure by making their Fortnite accounts safer. Enabling two-factor authentication for the game on the PS4 can help players make sure their account is safe, and they can also earn a free Boogie Down Fortnite emote, which is a great incentive.

By using this short guide, Fortnite players on PS4 can figure out how to enable 2FA.

How to Enable 2FA on PS4

The first thing players will want to do is open up the Internet Browser app on the PS4. This allows users to access the internet, and now they need to type this in the address bar: Fortnite.com/2FA.

Once users are taken to the Epic Games website, players need to sign in to their Epic account with PlayStation Network. From here, players will need to enter their Sign-In ID for PSN and their password. Now, in the Epic Games account settings, go to the Password and Security section. From here, scroll down to find an Authenticator App toggle. Click the button to turn it on.

Now, gamers must download the Authenticator app on their smartphone device, and once it's finished downloading, they need to scan the QR code on the PS4 internet browser.

Users will now get a limited use token that expires rather quickly. Players should enter the token from the app on the PS4. Once the token has been entered into the system correctly, 2FA will finally be enabled for Fortnite players on the PlayStation 4.

Once the Fortnite application is opened up again, the Boogie Dance emote will be rewarded to the player for keeping their Epic Accounts secure. Fortnite players can get hacked by other players if they're not careful. Enabling 2FA will keep many players from facing any issues dealing with lost Fortnite accounts.

Currently, Fortnite is in Chapter 2, Season 7 of its battle pass. The theme this time around is all about aliens and futuristic tech, meaning that there are now UFOs and powerful IO weapons scattered about the new Fortnite map. So far, some of the revealed skins are Superman and Rick Sanchez from Rick and Morty, and if it's anything like the previous seasons, there are to be some more unexpected reveals from Epic Games.

Fortnite is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
