Love him or hate him, there is arguably something about Elon Musk that makes him a popular figurehead when it comes to the internet. When his neurotechnology company Neuralink successfully enabled a monkey to play Pong with its mind, the world probably took his scientific prowess quite seriously, more so. Recently, he's shown that he has been bitten by the comedy bug as well.

In a recent Saturday Night Live sketch, the billionaire CEO appeared as the character Wario in a largely NSFW skit involving a number of Mario characters arguing in a courtroom. In the five-minute video, Musk shows off his comedy acting skills in which he defends himself against Luigi. He even puts on a faux Italian accent to really sell the bit.

This is not the first time Musk has wet his beak in the world of gaming. Just last year, he made a number of jokingly scathing comments at the expense of Cyberpunk 2077 in which he waxed lyrical about developer CD Projekt Red apologizing for the shaky release of its epic sci-fi game and the refunds that were inevitably in the pipeline.

Musk, who earlier this year was announced as the richest man in the world, is clearly no stranger to the world to the world of video games. His appearance on SNL is not too surprising and while his character was just one aspect of the skit, his role was an integral part of the comedy which seemed to both mock the Mario legacy, but also celebrate its importance in society.
