Twitter CEO Elon Musk is reportedly contemplating a comprehensive revamp of the social media platform as the company continues to confront an increasing number of challenges, indicating a potential shift in the way the platform operates and addresses its issues. Elon Musk is the CEO of multiple companies, including Tesla and SpaceX, both of which are pushing the boundaries of what is possible in their respective industries.

However, Musk's acquisition of Twitter has not been without its challenges. In early 2022, Musk announced his intent to purchase the social media platform, with the deal finalizing on October 27 for an astronomical sum of $44 billion. Since assuming the role of CEO, he has sparked a significant amount of controversy with his policy changes on the platform. Shortly after the takeover, more than 4,000 employees were laid off, and several contentious decisions were made, such as offering verification ticks next to a user's name as a paid service.

Now, reports are emerging that Twitter may go under a major overhaul in near future. Dave Rubin recently visited Twitter's headquarters in San Francisco and learned about the various challenges the company is facing. During his two-day visit, he spoke with engineers, product managers, and even the CEO, Elon Musk. According to Dave, Elon Musk conveyed that the code behind Twitter is in a precarious state and that a single misstep could cause the entire website to crash. Despite this, Musk also mentioned that the Twitter team is actively working to improve the code and that he is even considering rebuilding the code from scratch.

According to Dave, there may be evidence that Twitter does in fact implement the use of shadow-banning despite denials from former CEO Jack Dorsey. Additionally, Dave mentioned the existence of a keyword database that is said to be utilized by Twitter to prevent the promotion of violent or explicit content on the platform. However, he alleged that this database is not functioning as intended, with an overabundance of "overreaching words" that can lead to tweets being flagged as inappropriate and suppressed on the website, such as tweets containing the word "gay" being deemed not advertiser-friendly.

It will be interesting to see how Elon Musk chooses to approach these issues and how his vision for Twitter will shape the platform's future.
