The internet has been buzzing about Grimes and Elon Musk's baby's name and how to pronounce it since the child was born at the beginning of May. But the singer and Telsa founder have changed their baby's name, but just slightly.

The offspring of Musk and Grimes has been the center of a variety of memes ever since January 2020 when gamers compared Grimes' baby announcement to Death Stranding. The memes intensified when Grimes went to Twitter to announce her new child's strange name: X Æ A-12. It's an amalgamation of the "unknown variable" X, the "Elven spelling of Ai," and the precursor to their favorite aircraft.

The baby's name has been big news on the internet ever since, making headlines even more than Musk's working with NASA to make a movie in space. In a recent comment, Grimes admitted that the couple decided to change their baby's name just slightly. But instead of giving the little boy a name that's easier to pronounce, she just made a tiny change to the "12" at the end of his name turning it from X Æ A-12 to X Æ A-Xii. "Roman numerals. Looks better tbh," Grimes wrote in response to a comment on an Instagram post.

The unique baby is just another in a long line of unusual situations surrounding Elon Musk, like the time he got into a fight with Fortnite on Twitter. The couple are certainly setting up their child for a strange future of teachers and strangers being completely unable to pronounce his name. While some of the Internet had hope when they heard that Grimes was changing the baby's name slightly, the change hasn't improved the name at all.
