Billionaire Elon Musk has never been shy about his gaming hobby, often referencing games on social media. Recently, a Twitter user asked Musk what his all time favorite video game was, and Musk responded by revealing his seven favorite games.

Apparently, Elon Musk's favorite video games are Deus ExHalf-Life 2BioShockMass Effect 2Fallout 3Fallout: New Vegas, and Saints Row 4. Musk didn't elaborate on why he preferred these games, but it should be noted that he has made reference to some of them in the past. In fact, Musk once compared himself to the Deus Ex protagonist, which caused a bit of backlash as many online thought that he had more in common with the game's villain instead.

Musk's choices consist of titles that are largely considered some of the best in history. Most of them are first-person games with a deep focus on story, so Elon Musk fans can get a pretty good idea of exactly what kinds of games he likes. Interestingly enough, none of the games Musk listed were from the current-generation of gaming, so it seems nothing from recent years has had much of an impact on him.

That being said, Musk has spoken in favor of current-gen games in the past. Notably, Musk praised Overwatch multiple times over the last few years, calling Blizzard's hero-shooter both "amazing" and "soothing." He has also indicated that he may be a fan of NieR: Automata, and has confirmed that his Super Smash Bros. Ultimate main is none other than Zero Suit Samus. So while Elon may hold the games he listed in higher regard, he does still seem to like modern games as well.

On the flip side, Musk has also criticized modern games, though he may not have been serious all the time. Musk has joked that he would delete Fortnite from existence, but it's unclear how he truly feels about the battle royale game one way or the other.

New video games are still coming out regularly, so there should be plenty more titles for Musk to play in the years ahead, and it will be interesting to see if any new releases manage to become a new favorite for him.
