Elizabeth Olsen has become one of the most recognizable faces on the planet thanks to her portrayal of Wanda Maximoff in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but she wasn't always the most famous Olsen in the limelight. Recently, the Doctor Strange 2 star opened up about what it was like growing up with her siblings Mary-Kate and Ashley, the legendary icons of the '90s.

Elizabeth Olsen admitted that having older twin sisters was actually an advantage because she felt protected from the entertainment industry early on. Learning from Mary-Kate and Ashley's experiences helped her tremendously throughout her MCU tenure, which began with Captain America: The Winter Soldier and continues with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. She said she felt very clear about how she was going to navigate her future as an actor by watching how her sisters' careers unfolded. Of course, fans will recall that Mary-Kate and Ashley rose to international fame after starring in ABC's Full House, taking turns playing the adorable Michelle Tanner in the show.

Elizabeth Olsen also said that they often spoiled her, which was great because she got double the benefits. "If I was spoiled by one, the other wanted to match it," she added during an interview with Harper's Bazaar. Yet, despite wanting to follow in their footsteps, Elizabeth Olsen was still adamant about going to school first before entering showbiz. Unlike Mary-Kate and Ashley, Elizabeth Olsen dedicated herself to studying, taking up classes at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, and spending a semester at the Moscow Art Theater School in Russia. Given the upward trajectory of her career so far, it looks like her hard work paid off big time.

When asked about her comeback as Wanda Maximoff after that shocking WandaVision finale, Elizabeth Olsen says she's excited to continue developing her character this Phase 4. She said she loves playing characters whose actions people disagree with, especially in a world where most people don't really care to understand other points of view. It's a difficult feat for an actor to make audiences feel empathy for a character they don't align with, but Elizabeth Olsen says she's up for the challenge.

In the meanwhile, Elizabeth Olsen has been receiving rave reviews for her latest appearance in the Doctor Strange sequel, with some even calling her performance the most impressive work she's done so far. Evidently, it looks like Elizabeth Olsen is well past being the "other" Olsen sister.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is now playing in select theaters.
