WandaVision developed the story of Wanda Maximoff and her journey will continue in the long-awaited Doctor Strange sequel. Now, Elizabeth Olsen has finished reshooting scenes for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Olsen will reprise her role as Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch, in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Following the success of WandaVision and the official opening of the Multiverse, Marvel fans are counting down until the premiere of the Doctor Strange sequel.

Hairstylist Karen Bartek has revealed that Olsen's reshoots for the Doctor Strange sequel have been completed. Bartek posted a behind-the-scenes photo of Olsen with a few members of the Marvel team on her Instagram, announcing that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has wrapped shooting again. The second installment of Doctor Strange originally wrapped filming earlier this year but in July Benedict Wong revealed that the reshoots for Multiverse of Madness were expected to wrap in September.

Bartek has previously worked as a stylist for a number of Marvel projects including Infinity War, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Captain Marvel, Endgame, and WandaVision. Bartek's work on WandaVision earned her a nomination for Outstanding Period And/Or Character Hairstyling at the 2021 Emmys. This is Bartek's fourth Emmy nomination. She previously received nominations for Outstanding Hairstyling for a Series in 2002, 2003, and 2004 for her work on Alias.

Olsen previously revealed that the version of Wanda that will appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will differ from the woman viewers saw in WandaVision earlier this year. Following the grief that Wanda has endured over the past few Marvel projects, the possibilities brought upon by the opening of the Multiverse will certainly begin to take a toll on the Scarlet heroine. In the finale of WandaVision, Wanda gained a new surge of power after tricking Agatha Harkness and draining her magic. Wanda officially takes the form of the Scarlet Witch and, as Agatha mentioned earlier in the series, this puts Wanda in the position to unleash a much more dangerous form of her chaos magic.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will follow the events of WandaVision, Loki, and the heavily anticipated Spider-Man: No Way Home. With the hype surrounding the third installment of Spider-Man, many fans are hoping that Doctor Strange 2 will live up to expectations. The details for the Multiverse of Madness are being kept under wraps but it has all the makings of a quality Marvel movie. As the Spider-Man trailer has shown, Doctor Strange will likely make his own mistakes that he will have to try and correct in his own sequel. With Wanda and Loki having an opportunity to redeem themselves and potentially confronting more dangerous versions of themselves, there are endless possibilities for what the film may bring.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will premiere in theaters on March 25, 2022.
