There's just over a month to go until The Elder Scrolls Online releases its long-awaited Morrowind expansion, so Bethesda Softworks has now decided to goad fans into even further excitement by releasing a brand new trailer today that shows a return to Vvardenfell. While the area more colloquially known among fans as the Black Isle will be a landscape familiar to many ardent followers of the franchise, the upcoming addition to the MMORPG's story is set 700 years earlier than when it was originally introduced 15 years ago.

As seen below in the latest trailer for The Elder Scrolls Online's forthcoming Morrowind expansion, after offering a peek at Vvardenfell's most recognizable landmark of the Red Mountain volcano, Bethesda features plenty of fans who are practically gushing over the ability to finally get a chance to return to the area. Although the studio hasn't completely divulged what kind of quests will be available in the expansion, the developer has teased that in ESO's take on the island, players will help the demigod Vivec ensure that the Morrowind from The Elder Scrolls 3 comes to be.

As seen in the video above and confirmed in a trailer released about a week ago, Bethesda Softworks will be adding a brand new class to The Elder Scrolls Online through the Morrowind expansion by introducing the Warden role. For those unaware, Wardens will have a plethora of nature-based magic abilities that will allow for a diverse and multifaceted experience by letting them act as either a powerful dealer of damage, a healer, a protector, or any combination of those descriptions.

For those fans still giddy with excitement about the opportunity to return to Vvardenfell in The Elder Scrolls Online's Morrowind expansion and who want to delve more deeply into what kind of content the add-on will provide will do well to check out this extended gameplay video that features roughly 30 minutes of a brand new quest line involving players assistance of the aforementioned Lord Vivec. Of course, those who can exercise patience and want to dive headfirst into the experience fresh won't have much longer to wait, as ESO's Morrowind expansion drops next month.

The Elder Scrolls Online is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, while its Morrowind expansion releases on June 6, 2017.
