Elder Scrolls Online Trailer Details Political Treachery in Morrowind DLC

As the days and weeks mount to the launch of The Elder Scrolls Online's Morrowind DLC, Bethesda continues to provide fans with glimpses and composites of the expansion's gameplay, with the most recently released trailer for the add-on focusing primarily on the political intrigue and assassination inherent in the regions' Great Houses. As intimated by the latest video, there's plenty of "lies, deceit, [and] treachery" to go around.

As evidenced below in Bethesda Softworks' "Assassins and the Great Houses" trailer promoting The Elder Scrolls Online's Morrowind expansion, fans are given an idea as to how they will need to navigate the murky political waters surrounding the three great houses in the area, as they determine their alliances to House Hlaalu, House Redoran, and House Telvanni. As one might expect, it looks to be no simplistic task, as the balance between the ruling classes rests in a precarious position, and one wrong decision could lead to utter turmoil.

Interestingly enough, this isn't the first piece of footage that Bethesda has released for The Elder Scrolls Online's Morrowind DLC touching on this subject matter. As it so happens, the publisher and developer released a brief trailer involving assassins and a surface glance at the complex political web of Vvardenfell that was narrated by the legendary assassin Naryu Virian, who is a member of the Morag Tong, a secret society within the continent of Tamriel.

Of course, The Elder Scrolls Online's Morrowind DLC is expected to contain a lot more than just politicking, as the expansion is slated to bring about plenty of exciting gameplay, thrusting players deep in to the sweeping fantasy world and narrative. Undoubtedly, intense combat and magical encounters are precisely the types of experiences fans ought to expect from a return to Vvardenfell.

Thankfully, The Elder Scrolls Online fans don't have to wait much longer to delve into the immersive realm of the Morrowind expansion, as it officially goes live at the beginning of next month. That said, though, PC players get early access two weeks in advance for purchasing the digital upgrade or the physical Collector's Editions, so envy might start to foment among console owners waiting for their chance to play as those who game primarily on personal computers are exploring the content in advance.

The Elder Scrolls Online's Morrowind DLC is set to launch on June 6, 2017 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
