Elder Scrolls Online is gearing up for a new chapter set in Greymoor, and players can now get a feel for the Greymoor DLC through an introductory prologue adventure that's available for free.
Starting today, Elder Scrolls Online players can take on a free prologue chapter that leads into the upcoming Greymoor DLC. "Prologue Quest: The Coven Conspiracy" is already up and ready on the Crown Store, and it'll wrap up the Dark Heart of Skyrim plotline as well as introducing the next.
In even better news, those who don't currently pay to play Elder Scrolls Online can still get a taste of the free prologue content if they wish. The game will be hosting a free play event from April 1 - 13, which means players can download the base game via PC, PS4, and Xbox One during the allotted time. Naturally, the new Greymoor prologue quest is included in the game's available free play content.
After selecting the prologue quest in the Crown Store, players can start it off by simply locating Lyris Titanborn in their Fighter's Guild. During the quest, players will descend into the depths of Blackreach and face down the Icereach Coven. Elder Scrolls Online has undergone several major changes recently, including a mid-March update that required all players to entirely re-download the game– with some significant benefits as a reward.
Given the current lockdown situation in the outside world, it seems like the perfect time for Elder Scrolls Online to rope in a crowd of new players with some new--and free--content.
