As far as Western RPGs go, they don't really get much bigger than Skyrim. However, after more than a decade, it's understandable that many fans are now hoping to hear news about a follow-up. But with The Elder Scrolls 6 allegedly still in pre-production, it could be a very long time before the next installment in Bethesda's epic series makes an appearance. In the meantime, fans of TES5 are still getting a lot of mileage out of the game, which includes turning aspects of it into real-world items.

In a post on the Skyrim subreddit, user Best_Stage_8713 has uploaded a number of images which show a book, though not just any book. It's a custom-made tome that they've had professionally bound, which contains what appears to be every single in-game book. The printing and binding look really well done, and the user even went so far as to get more than 600 "yellowish" pages in order to give it a more ancient and used look. While there is already an official book from Bethesda, some people in the comments have asked if they could purchase Best_Stage_8713's, but unfortunately, they say it's a one of a kind.

There are more than 300 books in Skyrim, as well as more than 800 other pieces of literature, such as scrolls and notes. They collectively form the huge lore of the game, much of which fans will skip over throughout their playthrough, but some will happily sit and read the backstory of Tamriel and its history. Perhaps the most famous book in all the series is The Lusty Argonian Maid, which has been featured in the franchise since Morrowind and is, as the name suggests, a rather raunchy tale involving an Argonian. It's unclear whether the Reddit user included this in their printed book.

As mentioned earlier, many players probably don't spend a lot of their time in the game reading through the literature, unless they are spell books or ones that give skill points. However, there are some dedicated Skyrim players who will collect and read every single book. Sometimes the Dragonborn just wants to sit by an open fire and read after a long day of slaying dragons.

As one of the best open world games of all time, Skyrim has a lot to offer players. Its vast world is complemented by its long history and in-depth lore. What's interesting about it is how much is not presented to the players, existing instead inside the many books that are available throughout Tamriel, which only serves to add to the overall immersion.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
