Earlier this year, GeForce Now had a big leak that revealed several then-unannounced games to the public. Some were described as speculative on the company’s part, while others received announcements sometime afterward like God of War’s PC port. A new leak via GeForce Now has come about, supposedly revealing everything from Dragon Age 4’s release date to The Elder Scrolls 6’s.
What’s important to note is that a lot of these may be speculative, as it seems doubtful that one singular database would hold such a plethora of information like The Elder Scrolls 6 and other big AAA games. Furthermore, some of these make less sense than others, and it’s a smorgasbord of potential pipeline-related info and speculation. Each and every single date mentioned should be taken with a grain of salt, but it’s possible some of these dates hint at release years, windows, correlations between games, or plans for release.
The Xbox Pipeline Based on GeForce Now Pipeline
Microsoft is perhaps one of the most detailed “pipelines” in this leak. It mentions Redfall for June 20, 2022; Forza Motorsport for August 12, 2022; Avowed for December 7, 2022; Perfect Dark for December 8, 2022; Fable for October 12, 2023; Indiana Jones for January 1, 2024; and The Elder Scrolls 6 for January 2, 2024. It also mentions Hellblade 2 and a new Ninja Theory game for September 2022, Gears 6 and Contraband for November 2022, a new Machine Games project for December 2022, and a plethora of unannounced games for 2023.
These titles truly highly the aforementioned smorgasbord of potential information. For example, Redfall has been in development for 4 years now, and so a mid-2022 release date isn’t unreasonable. Neither is it for Forza Motorsport, but everything after that seems to be oddly paced and speculative, and it lists a ton of new projects unknown to the public right now. It sounds suspicious, but if this is based on any real information, it could suggest a potential pipeline for releases. It could be that, dates aside, this is the planned release approach taken by Microsoft and its studios.
Fable and Elder Scrolls’ Connection Based on GeForce Now Pipeline
On the assumption this holds some truth to it, which in and of itself is just speculation and should be taken with a healthy dose of skepticism, it could suggest that Fable and The Elder Scrolls 6 are releasing closer than many thought. According to GeForce Now, the release difference is only a handful of months. This is important, moreover, as it does line up with past information, albeit in an unexpected way.
Not too long ago, Phil Spencer confirmed Fable would release before The Elder Scrolls 6, and both are understood to be years away. Many took this to mean that Fable is years away and Elder Scrolls 6 is years after that, as it is with Starfield. Spencer’s language, however, is vague enough to where, while this interpretation makes sense, another good could fit this too: they are both releasing years away but not years away from each other.
This pipeline could suggest that fans will learn more about Fable and Elder Scrolls 6 in late 2022/2023. It could be one of them is a 2023 release and the other is a 2024 release, while other estimates have looked more like 2024 and 2026/2027. It could be that the time between is not as drastic as many believed, and that’s something this GeForce Now leak could support.
Of course, “could support” and “does support” are two different things. Nvidia, Microsoft, and Bethesda are unlikely to comment on this, and outside of these dates themselves being questionable, the potential pipeline here is questionable too. This is especially true in an era where video game development is even more complicated than before, but it can be seen as good, hopeful news. After all, both Fable and The Elder Scrolls 6 are highly-anticipated Xbox Series X RPGs, so depending on what comes from this, at least it's possible they lead these titles together, not years apart.
