Elden Ring has witnessed one of the best launches of the year so far, receiving widespread critical and commercial success across the globe. The popular action RPG receives widespread acclaim for its story, enthralling boss fights, gameplay, and difficulty.

Besides the aforementioned aspects, fans and critics have lauded Elden Ring's character creator, which provides gamers with seemingly infinite possibilities. Gamers have leveraged this tool to create some of the most famous pop-culture figures, real and fictional. From making real people like Mike Tyson and Benedict Cumberbatch to fictional characters like Kratos from the God of War series and Joker from the DC Universe, Elden Ring fans have done it all.

Following the footsteps of these creative gamers, another Elden Ring player has stepped forward to bring a famous character to the fantasy world of Elden Ring. Reddit user mummikopp used the in-game creation tools to make their character look like a Smurf. The Smurfs is a popular comic book franchise based on blue-colored humanoids who live in tiny houses in the forest. Several TV series and movies were also based on these comic books, making The Smurfs immensely popular across the globe. The user has tried to recreate Papa Smurf from the franchise, the oldest Smurf, one of the main protagonists. Besides the oversized Phrygian cap and the inconsistent body size with that of a Smurf, mummikopp's creation is quite impressive.

Meanwhile, some in the Reddit community promptly pointed out that the original poster's creation looked more like an aged version of Doctor Manhattan than a Smurf. One user commented, "Papa Manhattan" to mock the character via a pun created by combining Papa Smurf and Doctor Manhattan. For those who don't know, Doctor Manhattan is one of the main characters in the comic book franchise, Watchmen. Interestingly, another Elden Ring player created Doctor Manhattan in the game a few weeks back.

In addition to recreating their favorite characters and personalities using the game's character creator, many Elden Ring players are known for their impressive fan art. Many of these art pieces show famous Elden Ring characters like Ranni and Godrick the Grafted alongside figures like Danny DeVito. On the other hand, others depict Elden Ring characters in an unorthodox setting like the one which shows a mech version of Malenia.

Besides Elden Ring, The Smurfs have been associated with another famous video game released this year, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. Tiny Tina's Wonderlands has a Smurfs Easter egg in a side quest known as Little Boy Blues.

Elden Ring is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
