Elden Ring is full of NPCs that players can interact with to get new quests, items, and more. Some NPCs in the game are especially important if Elden Ring players want to stand a chance against some of the tougher bosses, with Roderika being one of the most important NPCs in the entire game. Roderika is normally found at the Stormhill Shack in the beginning of the game, but some Elden Ring players who have advanced beyond that point may be having trouble locating her.

If Elden Ring players talk to Roderika at the Stormhill Shack, they can complete her quest like normal and she will wind up going to the Roundtable Hold where she provides Spirit Tuning services. Essentially, Roderika is the NPC that players need to talk to in order to upgrade their Elden Ring Spirit Ashes. Spirit Ashes are special NPC summons that can be a huge help in many of Elden Ring's toughest boss battles.

If Roderika is not at Stormhill Shack, Elden Ring players will likely find her hanging out next to the fireplace at the Roundtable Hold. If this happens, Elden Ring players need to talk to Smithing Master Hewg (the blacksmith at the Roundtable) and ask him about Roderika. Then talk to Roderika, then talk to Hewg again. Upon leaving the Roundtable Hold and coming back, Roderika should then be set up in her usual spot across the hall from Hewg, ready to help players tune their Spirit Ashes. Please note that the rest of this article will have MAJOR SPOILERS for Elden Ring, so proceed with caution.

Tarnished Sitting in Front of Fireplace in Roundtable Hold

Once players reach the end of Elden Ring, they will have to burn down the Erdtree in order to reach the final area of the game. This action has some major consquences in that it rids the Roundtable Hold of most of the NPCs that were hanging out there, with the exception of a few. Smithing Master Hewg is still there, the Two Fingers are still there, and Roderika is still there as well. However, players may not find Roderika in her normal spot.

If Roderika has moved again, she will once again be found in front of the fireplace at the Roundtable Hold. Even though she's not at her working area, she still provides Spirit Tuning services so Elden Ring players can upgrade their Spirit Ashes.

The fact that Elden Ring players can go the entire game without ever speaking with Roderika is a testament to its depth. Elden Ring is a truly massive game, and it will be interesting to see how FromSoftware tries to top it with its future releases.

Elden Ring is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
