Throughout Elden Ring there are a number of Rises that can be found, but most of them are sealed shut and require players to solve a nearby puzzle to gain entry. Renna's Rise is a little bit different - instead of solving puzzles or jumping onto a jutting balcony, players need to progress significantly through one of the game's most interesting storylines.

The witch Renna, who players first meet in Limgrave's Church of Elleh, later reveals her true name to be Ranni. Her Elden Ring questline can be started by talking to her again at the top of Ranni's Rise, while Renna's Rise remains sealed shut until a few things have happened in the questline.

Updated August 1, 2022 by Erik Petrovich: Renna's Rise is named after the witch Renna, who players would have met in the Church of Elleh after receiving Torrent. Of course, Renna is actually Ranni, and the two eponymous Towers are very close to one another. Players find Renna's Rise blocked shut, but to get to the Three Sisters in the first place players have to get through one of the game's scariest areas: Caria Manor. Caria Manor is home to an assortment of monstrosities, most notably an infestation of Fingercreepers, but it must be cleared to get to Renna's Rise in the first place. After that, it's a simple matter of working with Ranni to gain her trust.

Where Is Renna's Rise?

In Northern Liurnia there is a location just past the Four Belfries called The Three Sisters, which consists of Ranni's Rise, Renna's Rise, and Seluvis' Rise. The most northern of the three towers, players find Renna's Rise blocked shut by a magical barrier.

The Three Sisters can't be accessed just from anywhere, though: players have to go through Caria Manor, a misty and mysterious Legacy Dungeon that houses some of Elden Ring's most terrifying foes.

How To Get To & Through Caria Manor

Caria Manor is an overworld dungeon in Northwest Liurnia that is crawling with creepy enemies - quite literally, as the majority of foes here are Fingercreepers, plus some spirit warriors. To get here, start from the Converted Tower Site of Grace in southwest Liurnia and head directly north for a while, even going past the Four Belfries. Avoid the hail of arrows that rain down from above as you approach the entrance, and be sure to light the grace just outside the entrance.

Be sure to bring a source of Fire damage as it stuns Fingercreepers and deals ridiculously increased damage to them. There are many hand-spiders hidden in the ground, waiting for players to pick up a lure item or wander across them unknowingly before springing to life. Carefully navigate your way up the hill from the entrance and into the church. From here, head across the ramparts, up the stairs, and past a few groups of enemies to find a large pool surrounded by chairs. Fight Royal Knight Loretta and you will be able to access the Three Sisters area.

How To Get Into Renna's Rise

Renna's Rise is blocked off by a magical barrier, not unlike those seen in Sellia, Town of Sorcery or its Hideaway. Head back towards Ranni's Rise and get to the top to speak with Ranni and begin her questline. You will be charged with uncovering Nokron the Eternal City with her servant Blaidd. After progressing his questline and defeating General Radahn a star will shatter the ground north of Fort Haight, opening up access to the upper areas of Nokron. Head down the pit carefully and you will reach the Siofra River Aqueduct.

Head through here, defeat the Mimic Tear boss, and hug the left-hand side of the grassy area to avoid the Worshippers and find a Site of Lost Grace tucked behind a rock wall. You will see a roof below the Grace here - jump down and fight your way through Silver Tears as you descend to the bottom where you will see a gigantic skeleton statue. Defeat the Silver Tear Giant and pick up the Fingerslayer Blade in a chest beneath this statue. Return to Ranni, give her the blade, and re-load the area to get into Renna's Rise and access the rest of Ranni's questline.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S.
