It has been an incredible two months for FromSoftware’s open-world RPG, Elden Ring. Both a critical and commercial success, Elden Ring has quickly found itself at the center of gaming’s cultural zeitgeist. Some of its most formidable foes have inspired artists and fans everywhere, with one talented fan even making an impressive replica of Radahn’s helmet for Twitch streamer Ludwig.

Starscourge Radahn has made a name for himself as one of the most infamous bosses in Elden Ring. Fans have labeled him as one of the toughest foes in the whole game and one of the most imposing characters in a FromSoftware title. The challenge Radahn presents has been so great that he has been the subject of various patches for Elden Ring. Despite players routinely failing at the hands of Radahn, many have grown to admire him and his hulking appearance. Caelid’s mountainous Demi-God is often at the center of various pieces of artwork in tribute to FromSoftware’s open-world epic.

The latest piece of Elden Ring fan art regarding the Red Lion General comes from sculptor and fabricator Nick Martinelli at the request of 2021’s Streamer of the Year, Ludwig. During a stream, Ludwig commissioned Martinelli to create Radahn’s Redmane Helmet, and he pulled it off with fantastic results. In a Reddit clip posted by the sculptor, he showcases the highly detailed finished product, which even features real horns protruding from the sides of the helmet. Additionally, Martinelli has uploaded a video on YouTube which shows the complete process of how he came to make the helmet, including everything from 3D modeling, 3D printing, painting, and detailing.

Fans on Reddit have praised the talent on display with Martinelli’s detailed Redmane helmet, even stating in jest that the bar has now been set too high. Martinelli has expressed interest in completing the full armor set should time allow when not at his day job. With such a talented hand for craftsmanship and so many iconic pieces of gear in Elden Ring, fans can hope that Martinelli finds the time to create more replicas of their favorite armor sets.

Elden Ring's Redmane helmet isn’t the only impressive piece of video game memorabilia that Nick Martinelli has created. On Martinelli’s YouTube channel, fans can find other great works such as Call of Duty’s Wunderwaffe and a replica of Donkey Kong Island from Donkey Kong 64. For any fans interested in Martinelli’s miniature 3D printed model of Radahn’s Redmane helmet, he is currently hosting a giveaway on his YouTube channel for a chance to win the small piece of Radahn memorabilia.

Elden Ring is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
