One Elden Ring invader stokes the flames of fear in some FromSoftware veteran gamers by recreating one familiar NPC invader from Dark Souls, weapons and all. Just as one Elden Ring player was able to create Naruto's Itachi, the extent to which players can recreate their favorite characters not just with Elden Ring's character customizer, but the variety of its attire as well, is impressive. Players will try not only to be the character they favor, but they may also try to recreate their move set to really become that character. That is what one invader decided to do, taking it into PvP to give some Dark Souls veterans a familiar sight.

Many Dark Souls players would know of one of the game's most infamous locations called Blighttown, which is set in a large cave. Half of this location is fragile scaffolding built high up, with many chances for the players to either fall off or be knocked off by another enemy. A poison swamp takes up the other half, another of the many poisonous swamps that Elden Ring's director Hidetaka Miyazaki can't resist putting in. While the poison swamp in itself is horrible to get through, there's also a moment where, as the player is moving towards the entrance to the area's boss, a certain NPC invader invites themselves in to intercept the player that goes by the name Maneater Mildred.

One player decided to invade other people in Elden Ring's PvP as this Maneater Mildred. A channel by the name of IcedEstus, known for making the ever-popular Elden Ring meme builds that some players like to make, uploaded a video to YouTube of them dressing up as Maneater Mildred and hunting down players to some popular songs. Now, it's not difficult to dress as Mildred, as all it requires is equipping a sack of some kind, a shield, and a Butchering Knife, a weapon that is close enough in appearance to Mildred's original knife.

What follows is a video of them taking down many Elden Ring players, usually by staggering the players and getting that critical hit on them. Many in the comments praised the invader for their prowess in parrying. In addition, some found their choice of music to be quite amazing, but the gameplay in the video was even better.

While there are throwbacks to previous FromSoftware games in Elden Ring like the infamous Patches and the Moonlight Greatsword, some well-known characters will only be seen again thanks to the creativity of other players. Though this video doesn't quite show the amazing level of customizability Elden Ring has to offer, it does give many players of Dark Souls a familiar sight to see, whether it's a fond memory or an unfortunate one.
