In the months since Elden Ring was first released, the game has garnered a massive amount of attention from the gaming community. With so much in-game content for players to dive into, Elden Ring has a comparatively broader appeal than previous FromSoftware titles. Though, there are fans who already want DLC for the game.

FromSoftware's track record with DLC has been rather consistent across every major game the studio has released within the last decade. With the exception of Demon's Souls and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, each of FromSoftware's titles has received paid DLC in some capacity. Obviously, this has led many fans to believe that Elden Ring will inevitably get the same treatment, to the point where one devoted fan has decided to do something rather crazy in an effort to draw attention to Elden Ring DLC.

Over on Reddit, a user named SupremacyAce has made the bold claim that they will beat Malenia, Blade of Miquella, every single day until FromSoftware releases DLC for Elden Ring. The user's most recent post shows that they have been doing this for two weeks already, and given the consistency of the post, it doesn't seem like they will be stopping anytime soon.

For numerous Elden Ring players, Malenia is considered to be one of the hardest bosses in Elden Ring. Thus, it makes her a prime candidate for an online campaign such as this. Given how long the user has already been doing this, as well as having no additional armor equipped, it truly goes to show the tenacity that they have in terms of wanting additional content for Elden Ring.

Though, if the user is committed to beating Malenia every day until DLC releases, it seems likely that they will be doing this for quite a long time. The first DLC campaign for Dark Souls 3 alone took over a year to release and not to mention that game development, in general, tends to be a long, arduous process. Therefore, it's impossible to know how long it will take for DLC to release if there even is DLC in development.

However, it is interesting to see members of the gaming community use methods like this in order to show their love for a particular title. For instance, one user similarly has decided to buy a copy of Brink every day until Bethesda releases a sequel. Whether these campaigns actually attribute to or influence the decisions of AAA studios remains to be seen, but it is clear that the demand for Elden Ring DLC is certainly evident.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
