Elden Ring has been a highly anticipated release by the developer FromSoftware for some time, and now the game is out for players to experience themselves. While the launch of Elden Ring has been met with both positive and mixed reviews, many players are still finding ways to enjoy the game.
Now that Elden Ring is available, gamers will be able to enjoy everything that's offered in the game from its story to the lore, and overall gameplay. The game also comes with a character creator that allows players to customize their player character in the game. As with other games that had character creators, players have already begun to push the limits of what they can make their characters look like in the game.
Recently, an Elden Ring player on Reddit called jothither shared an image of their player character in the game that resembles the cartoon character Nigel Thornberry. The character originates from the animated series The Wild Thornberrys that first aired on Nickelodeon in 1998 about a family of wildlife documentary filmmakers. Nigel Thornberry himself was the eccentric father of the show's main character, Eliza, that was voiced by famous actor Tim Curry.
The general reception to the character reveal was mostly positive with some surprised that it looks as good as it does. The character has Nigel Thornberry's facial features, including his red hair, his mustache, and his long nose, as well. Of course, some commenters asked whether the helmets in the game fit differently for the character, especially since they have a longer nose. According to jothither, they customized the character to look like Nigel Thornberry while playing the prisoner character, and provided a link in one of the post's comment threads to show how they enlarged the prisoner mask for the character's nose.
However, jothither stated that they had switched to astrologer later on because they didn't want to cover up their character's face. This isn't the first time that players used the character creator in Elden Ring to make their characters look like others from different games and franchises. A few Elden Ring players have used the character creator to make characters look like Venom Snake from Metal Gear Solid 5: Phantom Pain and Kratos from the God of War franchise. One player even used the character creator to make their character look like Ross Geller from Friends in Elden Ring. Now, Nigel Thornberry can be added to the list of fictional characters that have been recreated in Elden Ring.
