Since Elden Ring released back in February, there are a ton of different reasons why the game has been as popular as it has. One of the big ones is that people have loved playing around with Elden Ring's immersive character creator, which has recently allowed one particular user to put a replica of actor Johnny Depp into the game.

Johnny Depp has been making headlines quite a bit over the last few months. Of course, just why his name has been the talk of the town hasn't been particularly positive as it's been all about his ongoing legal fight with ex-wife Amber Heard. Perhaps that's why one Elden Ring player decided it was time to put the actor in an environment other than a courtroom. This time the Pirates of the Caribbean star is one of the tarnished.

Reddit user BosmicCrownie posted his latest creation on the social media site, making it clear that this isn't a situation where a character played by Depp was the inspiration for what he'd made using the Elden Ring character creator. The user posted the picture of a headshot of the actual actor, and it was definitely the spitting image of the man.

Once the user posted the picture, plenty of other Redditors were quick with the jokes, with most of them basing those comments on what they've seen with regard to the trial with Amber Heard. Hidden in some of those comments were their own opinions on who has been more trustworthy during their testimony.

Not everyone on the site had an opinion about the court case, however. Some were simply impressed how much the headshot BosmicCrownie had uploaded looked like Johnny Depp. Others wanted to compare notes and see if anyone knew about any kind of codes that would make it a little easier to create their own celebrity of character look-alikes in Elden Ring.

Since the game launched, there have been literally hundreds of different creations made by people who have wanted to put their favorite characters or real people into the game. It turns out that Depp isn't even the first actor that's made an appearance in FromSoftware's latest big game. English actor Benedict Cumberbatch seems to have beaten Depp to the punch in that regard as the Doctor Strange actor's Doppelgänger made his way into Elden Ring early last month.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
