One of the most highly anticipated games of the last few years, Elden Ring finally got another trailer at Summer Game Fest 2021. While fans are abuzz with excitement discussing everything new that was shown and what the final product might look like in January, others are curious about whether or not they'll even have a chance to play it. This most recent trailer was notable for confirming that FromSoftware's latest game would be coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X, but what about PC players? Thankfully, these last two plus years of waiting have not been in vain for this group of players.

Initially announced at E3 2019, Elden Ring went radio silent for the next two years. Fans started losing their minds in anticipation, creating fake lore to tide themselves over until something official came from either Bandai Namco or FromSoftware. Summer Game Fest saw that long wait finally come to an end with a new gameplay trailer and an actual release date of January 21st.

In an effort to dispel any confusion, Elden Ring is coming to PC on January 21st. For a while, the game was only confirmed to be coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One, but the gameplay reveal added PS5 and Xbox Series X to the list. Given that the game has been in development for PC at least since it was revealed, there's not really any reason to suspect that it wouldn't come to PC at the same time as the game releases on all other platforms.

Naturally, there are some benefits to playing a game like Elden Ring on PC. First and foremost, PC players have access to mods, allowing them to customize the experience to their liking. What's more, even if players prefer to play Soulsborne games like Elden Ring with a controller over a mouse and keyboard, that can still be accomplished on a PC. Finally, players with very high end PCs will be able to get a lot more out of Elden Ring visually than players on PS4 or Xbox One will.

Regarding which online stores Elden Ring will be available on, that information is not yet available. Given how high profile this game is, though, it isn't hard to imagine that players can purchase it on most of the major stores like Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG. After waiting over 700 days for new information, it shouldn't bee too hard to wait a few hundred more for the release of Elden Ring.

Elden Ring releases on January 21st for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
