From Software has been on a bit of a roll lately. The studio's last game, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, took home quite a few major awards, including Game of The Year at the Game Awards, and fans are now anxiously awaiting new information about the studio's next game, Elden Ring, which George R.R. Martin contributed to. It appears that these fans may not need to wait much longer, though, as a new trailer could be dropping soon.

Elden Ring is reportedly set to appear at the Taipei Game Show next month with Sony. The show will run February 6-9, and fans may thus see something new during that time. Unfortunately, the game won't actually be playable on the show floor, but hopefully fans will at least get a few more details about the cryptic title. From Software hasn't confirmed a new trailer yet, but it appearing at the show is a good indicator that something will be revealed.

So far, Elden Ring appears to be a return to the type of dark fantasy that From Software is known for. Fans haven't seen or heard much since the game's announcement, however just the reveal was enough to get many fans excited for the game. Since then, From Software has been more or less radio silent on the title, though leaks have suggested Elden Ring will have a 2020 release date.

The game appearing with Sony may be an indicator that it will release on the PS5, but fans will just have to wait and see if that's the case. With this console generation winding down, there's a good chance that there will be both a current-gen and next-gen version of the game, but it's hard to tell if those would release at the same time or if From Soft would release the current-gen one earlier in the year. The Elden Ring E3 announcement trailer was detailed enough to pass as a next-gen game, but there is nothing definitive on that at this time.

Hopefully, the Taipei Game Show will have something new for Elden Ring fans. The game has been in development since 2017, so it shouldn't be too far off. While many considered Sekiro to be a stellar game, some fans have longed for more of  From Software's wonderfully-dark fantasy worlds, and it seems that Elden Ring will certainly scratch that itch.

Elden Ring is in development for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
