Elden Ring features many intimidating bosses for players to tackle. Mohg is one of the most difficult optional bosses in the game, with a unique move that easily defeats careless users. However, one Elden Ring player shows that it’s possible to beat Mohg with some help and clever use of a magic spell.

Comet Azur is one of the most popular legendary sorceries in Elden Ring, but the basic spell only lasts a short while. Fans first need to mix a Cerulean Hidden Tear in the Flask of Wondrous Physick to completely negate FP consumption. After using it, the Comet Azur beam will last for as long as players hold the attack button or until the effect of the Crystal Tear wears off. Many users also use magic-enhancing equipment and sorceries to deal maximum damage during this period. While Comet Azur is highly effective in a one-on-one encounter, it’s even more ridiculous when gamers team up.

A user named Blacktooth_Jim summons two other players for the boss fight against Mohg, Lord of Blood. The three players make their intentions clear as soon as they enter the battle. One casts a buffed-up Comet Azur, closely followed by the other players using the same spell on the boss. Mohg is still at the opposite end of the arena and hopelessly tries his best to close the distance. Finally, the incredible triple Comet Azur combo takes out Mohg in less than 30 seconds.

Two players continued using the beam for a short while after his death, presumably out of spite, as Mohg is known for his difficulty. Some fans will also notice that Mohg started his deadliest move, which usually required players to use a healing flask at a particular moment, but got no chance to execute it properly.

One fan appropriately compares this move to Family Kamehameha from the Dragon Ball universe, with many others claiming to have thought of the same. Some users also make funny references to the Ghostbusters franchise. BoomNDoom jokes about Mohg not passing the Vigor check, a term fans use when someone has low maximum health due to not leveling up their Vigor stat.

This clip shows excellent use of Elden Ring’s magic system, and it even inspired one of the users to make a sorcery build. Some fans mention how satisfying it feels to defeat annoying bosses with just one hit in New Game+. The tactic is not hard to execute, and a user named deathrreaperr states that solo players can replicate this clip with enough buffs.

Elden Ring is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
