The upcoming action role-playing game Elden Ring has been on FromSoftware players’ radar for years now. As one of the most anticipated games in the industry, many players have taken to showing off just how excited they are for this title. In the latest display of this commitment to the game, one Elden Ring fan took it upon themselves to get a tattoo of known Elden Ring character Malenia.

The Elden Ring is under development by FromSoftware and is set to release on February 25, 2022. The game was announced at E3 2019 and, as of October 2021, was delayed until February of this year. Malenia has featured prominently in trailers for this upcoming title.

In this post, u/RoM_RoM shows off their new Elden Ring tattoo in a short video. Along their arm resides the character known as Malenia, Blade of Miquella. In the tattoo, fans of the game will recognize this character’s winged helmet and long hair but recreated in impressive detail through black ink. Judging from the Elden Ring trailer in which Malenia fought General Radahn, this tattoo is a near-exact match of the original character design. It remains unclear exactly what role this character will play in the upcoming game, but it seems likely that players will run across them at some point. Regardless of Malenia's role in the game, this is at the very least an impressive tribute to a great character design.

At the moment, because the game remains just out of reach, Malenia remains a mysterious character. Not much is known about this character’s backstory except what was mentioned in the early trailer for the game. Unfortunately, the limited testing session for Elden Ring that players could partake in last year didn’t include a fight against this potential boss.

Elden Ring has been the subject of a lot of hype and the closed network test did a lot to reassure players that it was justified. With a mixture of an open world and the hard-hitting bosses typical of FromSoftware games, it looks as though the game will meet at least most players' expectations.

Then again, it is probably too early to tell whether Elden Ring will live up to this hype. The gameplay shown thus far has been encouraging, but it is likely better to temper expectations until the full game is out and available. For now, players can admire this impressive tattoo of a potential boss in Elden Ring.

Elden Ring releases on February 25, 2022, on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
