Elden Ring has been out more than two months now and has already broken numerous records. Moreover, Elden Ring has outperformed previous FromSoftware titles like Sekiro and the Dark Souls series. During this time, the action RPG has amassed an ever-growing fanbase from different corners of the globe.

As this fanbase grows larger, so does the frequency of bizarre occurrences in the game. Elden Ring fans are notoriously famous for sharing their strange experiences in the game, mainly through video clips and images. One video surfaced on the internet showing an Elden Ring player tricking an enemy into falling off a ledge, for example.

Elden Ring Player vs. Magma Wyrm

A similar but equally atypical Elden Ring incident is gaining popularity on social media platforms. Reddit user robertchill uploaded a video depicting their recent experience in the game. The video shows the user going one-on-one with a Magma Wyrm, one of the many bosses in Elden Ring. Initially, the fight seems quite normal, and the player is seen evading the boss's attacks. Soon, the player begins to retreat but is seemingly unaware of their surroundings. After a few backward steps, robertchill falls off a cliff to their death, followed by the Magma Wyrm, who also meets its demise. Despite dying, the player received credit for defeating the boss.

Elden Ring Bosses Are Sometimes Sharp-Witted, Sometimes Not So Much

The Reddit community quickly expressed its views about the occurrence, with many pointing out the disparity between intelligence levels of different Elden Ring bosses. Many Redditors cited the examples of several bosses regularly falling off ledges while others don't. Some instances show how these bosses can be sharp-witted and get the better of gamers. One popular video shows an Elden Ring dragon tricking a player into falling to their death, while another shows two enemies seemingly doing a high-five upon performing a combined attack on a gamer.

Magma Wyrm, the boss in robertchill's video, is a lesser dragon who wields an enormous curved sword and spews molten lava from its mouth. Elden Ring has two Magma Wyrm dragons, one in the lava pool south of Fort Laieddthe and the other in Gael Tunnel. Like other dragon bosses, Magma Wyrm deals fire damage and standard damage but can also inflict slash damage.

Dragon bosses are some of the most popular in Elden Ring as they drop valuable resources when defeated, including the Dragon Heart. These can be traded for Dragon Communion Incantations in Elden Ring, including Dragonfire, Dragonclaw, and Dragonmaw. These incantations grant special powers to the gamer, which can be extremely handy while exploring the game's massive open world.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
