A welder and Elden Ring fan recreated the game’s logo from rebar. This is the latest of numerous pieces of impressive fan art to come out since Elden Ring’s release in February.

Despite some reports of Elden Ring being review bombed, the game released to rave reviews with Metacritic labeling it a must-play. An open-world RPG from Dark Souls developer FromSoftware, Elden Ring players take the role of a Tarnished to explore the bleak world of the Lands Between. They will battle a variety of demigods on their quest to claim the titular Elden Ring, with their actions leading to one of six distinct endings.

Reddit user tealoafresca, also known as Hard Phil, created the rebar Elden Ring logo and shared it on the platform. Humorously naming it the “Welden Ring,” he made the impressive piece of metalwork from five separate pieces of rebar. Phil bent four of them into overlapping carbon steel rings and welded them to a central, vertical bar. The design is also much larger than the image makes it appear. According to Phil, each hoop is about two feet across, with the whole thing weighing about 100 pounds. So, while this rebar Elden Ring logo may be cool, it might not be the most practical thing to display in one’s home.

Still, that doesn’t mean other fans don’t want copies of this unique piece of metallic Elden Ring fan art. Several commenters expressed their desire to purchase similar pieces if Phil was willing to make them. While this is impractical given the logo’s size, Phil said that he might look into seeing if he could make some smaller, easier-to-ship versions. His fellow Elden Ring fans on Reddit will just have to wait and see if that pans out.

Regardless, even Elden Ring fans who don’t want to buy it were very impressed with Hard Phil’s rebar logo. In addition to compliments, responses included puns and in-jokes like “Marika’s Mig Welder,” “The Forge Between,” and “Arise now, ye Tack Welds!” Another commenter suggested that someone should start a Mildly Elden Ring subreddit for posts similar to this one.

Hard Phil’s rebar logo isn’t the only exciting piece of recent Elden Ring fan content on Reddit. The Elden Ring community is particularly active in this regard, with numerous and often impressive pieces routinely appearing on the game’s subreddit. These include outstanding examples of paintings, digital art, sculptures, and cosplay. However, there are not a whole lot of fan artists making their Elden Ring tributes from welded rebar. Hard Phil’s work thus stands out even in the crowded field.

Elden Ring is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
