Larval Tears are very useful key items in Elden Ring, as they allow players to reallocate their characters' stats. While Larval Tears are far from the most common items in the game, there are more than a dozen of them for fans to obtain. This guide will provide details on exactly where to find these Larval Tears, making it possible for players to perform numerous character respecs in Elden Ring.
Elden Ring: Larval Tear Locations
Limgrave
- Head east from the Agheel Lake South Site of Grace. There is an undead enemy with a sword standing on a cliff, and it will transform into a bear when it is dispatched. Slaying the bear awards a Larval Tear in Elden Ring.
Liurnia (South)
- Starting at the Folly on the Lake Site of Grace in southwest Limgrave, head southwest to reach Elden Ring's Village of the Albinaurics. There is a graveyard in this village where the Larval Tear can be found.
- Head north from the Folly on the Lake Site of Grace and kill the lobster enemy. This action will cause it to transform into a Scion, and dispatching it yields another Larval Tear.
Liurnia (North)
- After eliminating Royal Knight Loretta in Elden Ring's Caria Manor, pass by the Behind Caria Manor Site of Grace and into the graveyard. Interact with the phantom on the chair to earn a Larval Tear.
- From the Three Witches location above Caria Manor to the northwest, look for a scarab along the eastern cliff. Drop from this position on to the top of one of the Manor's buildings and use the wooden platforms on the west side to descend further. Climb the ladder that leads down through a hole in a roof and speak with the NPC inside the structure twice to earn the ability to purchase a Larval Tear.
Caelid
- Kill the enemies at this graveyard in southwest Caelid. One will transform into a giant that awards a Larval Tear when slain.
Altus Plateau
- Check the ruins to the east of the Altus Plateau Minor Erdtree for an undead enemy cowering in the corner. This foe will transform into a Lion Guardian that drops a Larval Tear.
Siofra River
- After reaching the Siofra River through the well to the east of Mistwood's Minor Erdtree, ride northeast to a lift. Continue east at the top of the lift to reach some wood scaffolding near a waterfall. Scale the wood scaffolding and follow the path behind the waterfall to reach a merchant that sells a Larval Tear.
Nokron, Eternal City
- From the Nokron, Eternal City Site of Grace, which is accessed during Ranni's questline in Elden Ring, fans should head east into the courtyard and enter the building on the right to find a Larval Tear.
- There is a gazebo in the area to the west of the Mimic Tear boss fight, and the corpse under it holds a Larval Tear.
- Defeating the Mimic Tear boss awards two Larval Tears.
- Head north from the Night's Sacred Ground Site of Grace in Elden Ring and the take the stairs that are on the right. These stairs lead into a large building, and destroying the iron ball inside it grants a Larval Tear.
Nokstella, Eternal City
- This is another location that Elden Ring players can access while working through Ranni's quest, and the Larval Tear is earned by dispatching the iron ball on the bridge near the Dragonkin Soldier of Nokstella Site of Grace.
