There are many aspects of Elden Ring that its player base has latched onto, though perhaps nothing has been more endearing to players than the Living Jar creatures found in various places in the Land Between. These expressionless jars with arms and legs have two separate NPC side quests attached to them and even have their own peaceful village that can be found in Elden Ring's world.

Like with many of the different creeds and factions found in Elden Ring, the player is able to obtain various pieces of equipment which relates to the Living Jars. Although the Jars themselves can only use their fists, there are weapons in the game that have lore connections to the Living Jars, or are just jar themed.

Now three players have themed their PvP dueling team around these lovable Living Jars and have shared a video which showcases their chaotic experiences fighting other players in Elden Ring. The video was posted on the YouTube channel Okoii, and it is the latest in a running series where these three players will theme their builds around one of the enemies in Elden Ring to cause havoc in PvP duels. In this edition the players try to present themselves as the game's Living Jars by wearing Lionel's armor along with the Jar Head helmet, which is best known for being the only item worn by Elden Ring's now iconic Malenia fighting player named Let Me Solo Her.

The Jar Guys video is a rapid series of clips from various chaotic PvP fights the players have taken part in with the jaunty music from Katamari Damacy playing in the background. The fights often include the players using their Jar Cannon weapons to rain fire upon enemy players, who will often react with shock at being confronted with three human-jar amalgamations moving in sync with each other. The clip also contains an appearance from another player’s Elden Ring recreation of the iconic Giant Dad Build from Dark Souls.

The video goes to show that for as serious as the game takes its story, and for how brutally difficult the gameplay is, there are a lot of weirdly funny things to be found in Elden Ring. This could be due to the fact that despite elements of the game being obviously very silly in design, such as the Living Jars, the game still treats them completely seriously. Characters like Iron Fist Alexander are still given side quests in Elden Ring that are just as serious and tragic as those given to the NPCs that aren’t giant expressionless pots.

The video is also very good at showcasing how versatile the combat system in Elden Ring is, and just how many play styles there are to choose from. None of the players were able to fully withstand the constant barrage of attacks from the three Jar Guys, but there were builds that held up better than others.

Elden Ring is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
