Elden Ring is the newest title from From Software, an expansive and difficult experience that forces players to journey through a complex fantasy landscape known as The Lands Between. Elden Ring has allowed gamers the freedom to choose how they want to complete their adventures, which includes creating epic characters with advanced creation tools.

Because of the capabilities of the character creator, some players have taken to recreating iconic figures in-game. While epic miniature creations in Elden Ring may be fun to see, fans of FromSoftware's latest title have proven themselves to be just as imaginative and artistic with the character creator. It is no surprise, then, that a passionate player has recreated one of the most legendary figures in fantasy literature: Inigo Montoya from The Princess Bride.

Reddit user Lady-Macdeath posted a series of photographs to the Elden Ring subreddit that show an avatar holding a rapier, with the weapon being remarkably similar to the one wielded by Inigo Montoya. The images show the character in various locations, and he looks great wearing some of the gear from Elden Ring. Though aesthetics don't impact that outcome of Elden Ring's story, it can't be denied that The Princess Bride-inspired avatar presents an awesome vessel for exploring The Lands Between.

Elden Ring requires players to adapt and change as the enemies become more complicated, which means characters like Lady-Macdeath's won't be able to remain the same indefinitely. At some point, the armor, weapons, and abilities will likely need to be changed, but that doesn't mean that the feat isn't impressive. As Elden Ring fans continue to play one of the most difficult titles in recent years, finding ways to engage with their fellow gamers and have fun can bring better experiences to the gameplay. And, of course, Elden Ring characters in co-op can be seen by other allies and enemies, allowing gamers to show of their artistry in-game.

Designs like this are a great way for gamers to show their passion and creativity. Elden Ring has been a catalyst for clever players since its release, incentivizing them to find unique ways around problems and persevere against challenging foes. While there has yet to be a sequel announced for Elden Ring, fans should find comfort in the ever-expanding player base that continues to connect, create, and enjoy the fantasy title. Hopefully, as FromSoftware's game gains new fans, even more legendary figures will start to appear in The Lands Between.

Elden Ring is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
