Elden Ring transports players to a daring fantasy landscape in the form of The Lands Between, a place filled with menacing creatures and magical items. Like many other titles from FromSoftware, Elden Ring challenges players to practice their skills and search for powerful weaponry. One of these powerful weapons, the Icerind Hatchet, is hidden deep within The Lands Between and can be incredibly helpful for players embarking on their own dangerous adventures.

Since it was released, Elden Ring has seen massive coverage from the media. Its difficult gameplay and unique world have given players a lot to praise. Where to Find the Icerind Hatchet in Elden Ring

The Icerind Hatchet can be found between the Raya Lucaria Academy and the Village of the Albinaurics. On the grounds near the Temple Quarter, players will be able to find the hatchet. It is hidden within a ruined tower in a small chest.

The Icerind Hatchet is, quite literally, an ax made of ice that can send a wave of icy spikes toward enemies. It is best used as a two-handed weapon and can be extremely helpful for exploring nearby areas, like the Raya Lucaria Gand Library in Elden Ring.

The Icerind Hatchet can be made more powerful using some of Elden Ring's Smithing Stones. The ice-wave ability of the hatchet, called the Hoarfrost Stomp, drains a generous amount of magic and can be used as a successful ranged attack.

While getting the weapon from the chest near the Temple Quarter isn't inherently dangerous, getting to the area can prove a challenge, so players might want to wait until they have reached higher levels before journeying to find the hatchet. While Elden Ring delivers an interesting interpretation of death in gaming, it's better for players to avoid being endlessly defeated in difficult areas.

As more players begin the quest to become an Elden Lord, it is important to know where to find strong weapons in order to progress through The Lands Between. From Elden Ring's many incantations, to weapons like the Icerind Hatchet, fans can discover wonder in all corners of the map.

Elden Ring is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
